A Brief History

We are a congregation of Oromo believers living in Trøndelag, Norway. Our church was founded in 2009 by Oromo Christians who came to Norway for work, study, and a fresh start. They longed to worship God together, strengthen one another in faith, and hear the Gospel in their own language.

Our mission is simple: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, help believers grow in their faith, build Christian unity and fellowship, and serve the Oromo community here in Norway.

Each week we gather for worship, Bible study, prayer, and youth fellowship, and we take part in outreach across our community. In everything we do, we seek to honor God by proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, encouraging one another to live faithfully, and sharing the message of salvation with all people.

For Oromo Christians far from home, our church is a place to belong. It brings people together, encourages prayer and mutual support, fosters cooperation among believers, and helps raise a new generation that loves and honors God.

We are also committed to keeping the Oromo language, culture, and identity alive, while teaching biblical values and passing on our faith to the generations to come.
